Default Texas Driver Magazine??

I signed up for the trial subscription to the magazine mentioned on the MB earlier but haven't received one yet. Anyone else got one? Can't find it at Barnes&Noble, either.

Meanwhile... I found Ride Texas, at Barnes&Noble- a motorcycle magazine for Texans. The July issue features a weekend ride in North Texas with Granbury and Glen Rose as the anchor towns. Lots of restaurants, BBQ places and lodging listed. Anyone tried the Hard Eight Pit BBQ in Stephenville? It made their top 10 list in Texas.

Ivan, the ride length was only 95 miles , starting in Granbury (68 mi to Granbury from Dallas). Might make a nice weekend drive

Gene - I haven't received my issue yet either. I think it comes out bi-monthly. Should be coming out soon.

Sounds like a good drive guys....

I got an issue before I ever got the "free" offer. I also thought I wrote a compelling email to them about helping out in any way we can (i.e. the club) and didn't get anything back.

I haven't read too much of the mag... if there is a lot of interested I can read it and give you guys an executive summary.

I picked up a free copy at MSR this past Friday. Seems like a high quality mag with some good articles. I read it on the flight to and fro Atlanta this past weekend. I think I'm going to sign up for the free trial subscription and decide whether to subscribe full-time after the trial period.

Gene, yes that sounds like a nice weekend drive. I'll have to check out that magazine. I've done a few drives in that area and there are definitely some fun roads. There is a catfish place in Granbury (close to the public beach) that has some of the best fried catfish I've ever had.

Curious if everyone received their first issue. I'm working with the publisher now on a article for our club. Looks like it will make the November, possibly January, issue.

Unless you'd prefer to work with someone local...

I've already sent them a bunch of photos including many autocross shots. Photodavo, I'd be happy to send them your best 2 or 3. Send them to dsmart@s2000.org.

I received mine a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be a pretty nice magazine! Now to spend time actually reading the articles vs. skimming the pictures...
