Default Thanks again James (DOHC_Side)

I needed new tires for my rears, so I called James (DOHC_Side) with Discount Tire again. I know there are a lot of people on here with "particular" views about where to buy tires and where to get them mounted. I just wanted to tell everyone about my experience. FYI, I do all the maintenance work on my car myself, except tires. The only other people that I would let work on my car are James and Marcucci (haven't had to use Marcucci yet, but I've heard great things).

James was promoted to a manager spot at the Carrolton location, which means I only had to deal with him. I got two new tires (Potenza RE960 Pole Position AS) mounted and balanced with nice stems for the same price as the same tires shipped to me from Tire Rack (no install, obviously). He didn't have the tires at his shop, but he got them from another shop within an hour.

I watched the tech install the tires and torque the lugs in a star pattern to the appropriate level.

James gave me a REALLY good deal and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. The drive from Arlington to Dallas is absolutely worth it because of the level of service I get with James. Thanks, buddy.

That's great to hear. I'll probably make the trip to Arlington when I need new tires.

Got some Falken Ziex 912's put on. James was really easy to deal with and a nice guy. The tires feel a little more slippery than the dead RE-01R's that were taken off but I attirbute that to the mold release compound. Hopefully they will be some good tires for daily driving, I hear the rears last around 20K on a S2000 which is great.
