Default Thinking of selling my S2000

I am considering selling my S2000, but do not have any idea what to ask for it. It is a 2005 model with the Honda red hardtop, which has never been off of the car. It has 1215 or so miles on it and is in perfect condition, other than a tiny paint chip from a rock, which I will have fixed. It has been garaged since I bought it in April.

Any ideas on price?

Thank you,
Cathie

Trade in is $26,500-ish. With The hardtop you can probably sell it your self for $29,000. Good luck

Haven't even had the hardtop off yet? Come on, you'll be missing one of the best parts of S2000 ownership -- the Fall Colors tour that's being organized for late Sept or early Oct. down in Austin / Hill Country. Drop the top, be among friends and abuse twisty roads. It's heaven.

I say this because this summer's been warmish, and driving around with the top up and A/C on isn't as much fun as a top-down drive when it's not brutally hot.

Thank you for the responses. I am selling it because I have autoimmune problems involving muscles and joints that are screaming when I shift, put the clutch in and reach for the seat belt. I have trouble getting in and out of the car because the medication I am on has caused a horrible weight gain that appears I may never get rid of. I cannot see the overall situation getting a lot better. I love the car and it breaks my heart to sell it, but I think I need to just give up and get something more practical for the situation.

Please pass my email address on, in the event you know someone who might be interested. The car has not been driven hard at all and is in excellent condition. I am in Carrollton.

Thanks again, I would appreciate any help.

My sincere condolences. Stepmom had Rheumatoid Arthritis from age 17 to 57, with multiple replacements of each major joint. Brutal. If your situation is anything remotely similar, argh. I totally feel for you. Will keep a look out for possible buyers for your S. Best of luck with managing the condition....

Thank you Stantaur. I appreciate you watching out for someone for me.

This is similar to what your mom had, although suspected to be developing Lupus, which has worsened over the last few months. I hope I don't have to have those joint replacements... Autoimmune disorders are NOT fun...

What is this buy back program?

I know it's crazy, but I'm wondering about trading in my '05 for a Blue '06 (probably next year if I do it). I wish Honda had had a blue I really liked when I bought my '05.
