Default tire question

I tried searching but apparently I can't even remember how to spell it or if I even got the right name.

what are the tires I keep saying yall talk about for AutoX.. Victoracers?! Victorracers? what are they. what brand are they is what I was trying to do the search to find out. but since I can't spell it I can't use the search properly.

If you have never competed in autocross or competitive driving events or even if you have but only a few times I would not spend the money for R compound tires, street tires will be plenty. Having the R compounds just slows down the learning curve for you.

oh I plan on using Yokohama Advan A032R's.. I was asking about the rest of the board to see if it's something I carry

I will remember that and not get the R. I have to do more research about the which it would be.. they have it in S and H compound. Tires is a semi-new field to me. I have a feeling I'll be calling my rep ALOT..hehehehe

Good advice. Just stick with the stock street tires to start - the S02's on the 2000-2003 model are some really sticky tires but they do wear quickly. I can't comment on the ones for the 2004+ (RA50 or somethig like that).

by R compounds I mean anything with a treadwear rating below 140. If you are using A032R that is an R compound not a street tire and will be classified as such. You will be racing in the Racing tire class, with many of the "faster drivers". Good luck.

The 04+ use RE 050. the treadwear on those is 140 as well. Same as the S02.
