I'm new to Texas, if any one knows how to get some track time for a little test and tune let me know. There is drag strips all over but I'm looking for road courses.

 

For test and tune, I prefer autoX. It's a very cheap way to see how the car acts at its limits.

The only way around here to get time on an actual track, unless you have a membership (which are not cheap), is to attend an HPDE. They are a good value, but I would hate to pay for the event and drive all the way to Cresson or Decatur and my car be uncontrollable

Eagles Canyon does a monthly event in Decatur.

And there is Apex Driving Academy and Drivers Edge that runs HPDEs at Motor Sport Ranch

 

Apex should have a session Sept 14.
There is an autox with NTAXS the week before Sept 7 at Texas Motor Speedway
ECR is shut down until Seot for resurfacing -woo hoo= next OTD is Sept 14

 

They are repaving ECR! Nice! I may just have to buy a few sets of brake pads and take a trip up there.

 

Wow, that's awesome! I guess they must have gotten tired of hearing people bitch about the bumps.

 

This is according to Maggie, as the Aug 10 OTD was cancelled and resched to Sept 14. I look forward to a nice track in Oct when I get out there. :fingazcrossed:

 

Just registered Apex event on 9/14. It will be my first track event. Any of you guys going? Would be cool to meet some of you guys.
