Default tv options in rockwall, help!

Can anyone in the know tell me what my options are for cable in Rockwall? I bought a house in the shores but need to get tv going, it appears I would like to try fios but my address doesn't pull up on their site.
Thanks

If it's not a Verizon area, then it should be an AT&T area. See if At&T U-verse is available. It is better in some way, and worse in others compared to FIOS. We have U-Verse and DirecTV together for the ultimate experience.

So far I've struk out on Fios and Uverse, I was hoping to get either one.
The only one I've found servicing my address is fukin charter, and they are high because they know I have no other option. $23 a month more than 2 miles away in Rowlett where they have Fios and Uverse, dammit.

I liked Dish when I was with them. Satellite is always an option.

Nobody has FIOS and U-verse. You either have one or the other, or neither. In your case, it sounds like you should consider DirecTV or Dish Network. I've always liked DirecTV, and think their HD picture quality is much better than U-Verse. I believe they have more HD channels than U-Verse and FIOS also. The only thing that sucks about DirecTV is that I don't think they have total home DVR yet.

Depending on what content you're looking for, you can get an OTA (over-the-air) antenna for all locals, which would give you better HD quality than any provider. It's uncompressed, direct to your home. If you want non-locals, you're SOL and would be best served with a satellite.

FWIW, I'm considering saving $80/mo. by ditching my basic DirecTV service and getting an OTA antenna for locals. The rest I can serve-up by either Netflix or jacking my laptop into my TV via HDMI.

I got 3 kids so I got to have more channels. I am afraid of the signal loss with directv if the weather gets bad, its awful where my parents live.
I'll likely end up with charter.
