It actually helps throttle response and bogging especially during the summer by helping to eliminate heat soak. We were able to notice a big difference after S2Dave did his.
I can see how it would help reduce heat soak in stop and go traffic, extended idling, or while sitting in a parking lot, but I believe it will work against you for everything else. When the car is at speed, the radiator needs the engine compartment to be at a low pressure, but these holes will act like scoops, and pressurize the engine compartment. I believe your coolant temps would rise on a track.

And when dave and I replaced his clutch last sat. I noticed that his engine bay was spotless, so it cant affect it that much

Thanks for the compliments guys..

You might not believe it but people have noticed nothing but improvements, for instance guys with superchargers on their cars noticed car temps to be 40 degrees cooler than with a regular hood. I drove my car from here to FL in rain and had no issues. I drove my car on track, autocrossed it several times and haven't noticed any issues! If something has changed from these holes, is the UTH temparatures go down and the car cools down faster between sessions on track and at autocross.
You can actually see the heat coming out of it, specially in cold weather you can see it real well!!

True. But surprisingly even with the vents it doesnt take much licking to get it all cleaned up.

I haven't noticed any issues at the track with the vents.

not sure how the vents could pressurize the engine bay... the air moving over the vents its going to create even more of a low pressure zone in the engine bay..

There is no part of the hood that isn't pushing UP on the air as it passes over it. This means that it is a high pressure area. The holes don't have any sort of louver to create low pressure above them, so air will flow in, not out at speed.

i dont understand what your saying.. as the car is moving.. the air going over the vents will create a vacuum releasing heat faster

there's a big argument about this in either the UTH or the modifications and parts forum,.

Guess we could find a rocket scientist to figure out the air pressure levels....
