I'll be out there instructing. I might bring the S2000 out on Sunday if I get a few things sorted with the Prelude on Saturday.

Not sure where to begin. It was by far the most fun and best learning experience I have had since purchasing my car. We were fortunate enough to have great weather, although it was very windy. The cars were really fascinating to look at, almost like a car show. The sound of some of the Ferraris and the Lamborghini, going down the straight stretches were incredible. I was fortunate enough to have TypeSH, as my instructor. His knowledge of the S2000 and the track was priceless. Arguably, he was one of the best instructors there. Case in point, I had the thrill of a lifetime while riding with him during one of the instructors sessions on saturday. Even though he has a car with alot less power than most cars out there, we passed just about every car during our session. This was with my big !#!@ in the passenger seat. He also is very personable and helped me feel very confident and comfortable in the car. thank you, TypeSH. Also, had the opportunity to ride with another instuctor , Michael Wingfield, during the last instructors run of the day. This run was done clockwise, opposite from earlier in the day. Michael is also a great instructor and driver, thank you Michael. The Drivers Edge people ran a well organized event. My car suffered only a little premature tire and brake wear. I never have been a big corvette fan, however I saw this weekend what a Z06 can do with a good driver, they are awsome.I want to say thank you to all the nice people I met it really add to the weekend. The other S2000 people were great and always willing to offer advice to a beginner. There were people from Houston, Austin a great group from Tyler. I am looking forward to doing this again sometime. Sorry to be so long winded, hopefully next time we can get some more S2000's to go, it is not cheap but the track and the experience , I think make it worth it.

I think it was one of my better sessions, no offs and overall I felt very good, just have to work on the consitency. The silver Z06 was still eating up everybody,I think he should of been in a different group,I saw and passed some people I had not seen yet, the 2 NSX's and the Audi S4s and the best one the GT3, it must be a testosterone thing . Anyway everyone ended up safe that is the main thing and I think everyone learned alot. Thanks again, looking forward to doing it again

Well like janat said, where do you begin? This was my second event at MSR (both going counter-clockwise). It was amazing to me how much you remember about the track even after 1 1/2 years between events. I learned a lot more this weekend about how to safely drive this car closer to the limits. My skill is still the real limit at this point, but getting better with the help from a lot a very nice and experienced people that instruct and attend the DE events. I want to thank Gerryk for the very fun ride in the Red session, I learned a lot from the passanger seat and our discussions. TypeSH, thanks for your feedback and comments as well. I would really like to have an opportunity to have you as an instructor at one of these events.

It was great to meet the wonderful group of people that attend these event, and the camaraderie of the S2k guys (and gals) is awesome. I look forward to seeing everyone again at another event, and like janat says, I hope we can grow the # of S2k owners attendance. The events run like an fine tuned machine, the Drivers Edge team (AND INSTRUCTORS) are truely top notch in all respects.

Kind Regards,
Jeff

It was fun wasnt it? It was good to see more S2ks out there. I can recall Trey(janat), Jeff(scuba driver),myself (gerryk),David (typeSH), a black 04, a yellow car with some cool body mods, and a silverstone car that I didnt meet-he may have been an instuctor. The next DriversEdge at MSR is Sept 11-12 and it is clockwise which a blast! Hope to see more S2ks at these D.E.s. Seeya in Sept, Gerryk

Gerry,

The other Yellow S that I was parked beside (with the body mods) was DTMS (Tim). The Silver #7 was an instructor and I can't remember his name, I only had a chance to talk with him very briefly before my run group started.

I sure hope to see you in Sept if my plans hold up

Jeff
