Default Window Stickers + Smog?

So after driving around Texas for a day or so, I have a few questions for ya guys

What's the purpose of the stickers in the lower left window? Some have a Texas sticker with numbers and some have more than one sticker, they're all square.

And do I need to go get my car smogged and checked before I can have it registered here? Reason being - I don't have my stock exhaust and it's going to kick me in the balls if I need to put it back on

Thanks.

There are two stickers... one is the registration sticker (some states put these on the plates themselves, nope, not us.. we want big ugly stickers in our windows!)

The other is the inspection sticker... an anual inspection is required, the $$$ and what all they check is determined by the county you reside in but most likely you'll have to do a smog check. With the OBD II cars they're not suppose to do anything more than connect the thing and see if it throws codes, however I have seen them look and make sure the CAT is still there if the exhaust is too loud.

Doh forgot to mention you need to have it registered (and proof of insurance) to pass inspection.

Ouch, I have the stock cat.. will that be enough to pass smog? Or do I need to fully swap the exhaust back to stock?

No need to put the stock exhaust back on. If you have no leaks and the ECU has no codes you will pass.

If the cat is still on the car, you should be okay. I think you will need the smog check in your county, cuz of its proximity to DFW metromess. Not sure what county Sanger is in.

As long as you do not have a CEL or leaks, you will be okay.

FYI, they have to go in the lower left - but lots of people don't realize that you can put them side-by-side rather than one on top of the other.... (there is a diagram on the back of the registration sticker that shows where it can go)... putting the registration next to, rather than on top of the inspection (which they put on for you and always in the lower left corner) will block you from seeing some of the hood but it won't block you from seeing any of the road

i had mine side by side and a cop pulled me over in a parking lot for it. I didn't get a ticket, he was just concerned because he couldn't easily see both stickers. So just be aware that it could cause some extra attention to be focused on you.
