Default WTB struts

Rear struts are going out...looking to buy some.

I saw a post on Konis for sale...

Any thoughts about this brand? Koni yellow?
any experience with this one?

Thanks in advanced.

S2000s have shocks, not struts.

I've not had them on the S2k, but they have been great on every other car. I would NOT replace just the rears, though, with aftermarket. If you put on something other than stock, change the F and R at the same time.

You will likely find plenty of cheap used stock shocks around. As for aftermarket, most people opt for other shocks (whereas Konis are just about the gold standard for other Hondas).

Teins have always sucked for me on other cars (very under damped), but I love my Tein RAs that I have on my S.

@marcucci- thanks for the info- just the type of info I was looking for.
@Scott- hope all is well brother... I think im going to buy a set of Koni's based off of marcucci recommendation.

Is $100 a fair price for installation per shock?

I didn't mean to criticize you for calling them struts. I just wanted to "correct".

I have Koni yellows with stock springs, and I like them, but I don't think I would make the same choice again. I wish I had spent more money for KW V3 coilovers. However, that is more of a budgetary thing.

If I were just buying replacement for stock shocks due to mileage (I replaced mine at about 9K miles), then I would probably just try to find used OEM's.

BTW, $100 per shock SUCKS big monkey balls for installation. It only takes about 3 hours to replace them yourself with "borrowed" tools from AutoZone.
