Default Are you in need of a HT

Hey Guys

I found this honda dealer in Missouri and they are selling hard tops below 3k price tag. I just purchase a hard top for my 08 chicane/synchro s2k for $2760 shipped to my house. The dealer has a website that you can visit. Hondapartscenter.net and you can speak with Dirk for any help. BTW I dont work for them or get anything from them. This is your opportunity to get a HT if you have been thinking about it.

My local dealer in South Dallas wanted 3650 plus tax and shipping.

How and where would you get price lower than 3k. All local dealers that I have called have quoted around $3200 to3650 plus tax and shipping. The Hardtop Guy price is $2900 plus shipping. What price are you getting locally? Is it OEM or replica? LMK

I work for a dealership. I order the HT under my employee account. Last year the hardtops were around $2490 Total under my employee account. Prices went up April 1, and since the S is discontinued, it might be modestly more than that, but still under $2700.

Yes that is great. So why aren't you offering the prices to the members on the forum? That is your price as an employee and the dealer will not let you sell multiple HT at that price to the local buyer. Obviously you are forgetting two big items in the price. One, the buyer still has to pay 8.25% sales taxes on the HT in TX . Two, Buyers are going to have to pay shipping fee of $250+/- .

Hey I am not here to make any previous buyers of hard tops feel bad or have remorse for the price they paid for their top. I am here to inform the new guys or the veterans of the forum that have been contemplating the purchase but have not done it due to the crazy prices that are being asked for the OEM hard top. Just want to spread my findings.

The HT is now $2918. Total. Taxes included. $2650 pre-tax.

Why I don't offer it to members on the forum:

A)I'm not an official sponsor on s2ki, I don't want to piss them off by pushing anything.

B)Sharing my employee account with locals does not directly benefit me, since you're giving your money to Bankston.

C)I sell cars, and undertaking parts orders is one less thing I really want to deal with.

D)By now people kinda know about me, and I get random PM's about OEM parts.

E)I offer no assistance with shipping.

My dealer will let put as many HT's on my account that I pre-pay for. If I want ten, I better have $29,180 to give them. I won't order anything for anyone unless I get pre-payment. If it's something we usually stock (brake pads, MTF, Oil filters, Air filters) I just say we have one - come get it.
Okay, Your price is better than Freeman and Vandergriff Honda which quoted a $3650 and $3595 respectively w/out shipping. However, your price is not lower than my total price of $2760(shipping included) for what I purchase my hard top. Again, I am not trying create a fight here but I was just trying to let the other members know about my recent savings while purchasing a HT. Unfortunately, your price is not better for the seekers of HT at the present time. I will keep you in mind for maintenance items since I have four Honda's to take care of.
