'07 Centre Wheel Caps

I'm looking for a bit of guidance on where you guys and gals purchase new wheel centre caps for the OEM '07 alloys...

Having a peek around, I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

Ebay seems to price a single centre cap @ £8, all the way up to £36. I'm a tad unsure why there is such a difference in price?

I wouldn't mind doing a mini-project to refurbish them if it's not too difficult?

Any additional information on that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Refurb is easy, do a search. Aluminium tape, logos off eBay (I used sticker dude)and some lacquer. they will end up better than original.

I saw a thread about this not so long ago, I think it got bumped back up into the uk section from a few years back, have a scroll through a few recent pages...

The centre caps on mine were in a right state (2008).
Took them out, removed the metallic layer, cleaned up the plastic cap that remained, ordered stickers from StickerDude, carefully stuck them on, hey presto, just like new

That seems to be the way forward, I'll give mine a go.

Do you mind sharing the steps you went through please? :)

Thanks in advance.

The thread that has been bumped recently is the way to go! I bought vinyl stickers from the e of the bay. Make sure you get the right size logo as there are a lot of smaller ones out there which would probably look a bit odd.

Do you have a link by chance? I could do with some new badges. Thanks

Do a search, "center caps" & eBay search "sticker dude" or Honda logo. Give it a try it's quite easy.

OK if your fingers are too tired -

Is there a link to 'blank' centre caps that we can use as blank canvases?

currently have pre-facelift caps on my MY05 which I'm perfectly happy with - but I think I might enjoy fashioning some (pretend) facelifts.

Anyone done that?

Rather than buying a new blank centre cap, you can peel off the aluminium face on your current one (if it's stock) and then either use speed tape to produce a new aluminium finish or paint if other.

I've done this, used a rattle can to create a black cap, then applied a couple layers of lacquer before sticking a vinyl logo on purchased from eBay. Then finished with a few more layers of lacquer. Very happy with the finish. The only issue I can see is because I've peeled off the aluminium face, the cap isn't as big as it used to be so removing with a screwdriver without taking the wheel off is slightly more tricky(there is no longer a lip between the cap and the wheel)
