One word... WHY? The S is for twisties not drag racing
Any chance to give the car some stick on a heavily restricted island with a blanket 40mph speed limit, has to be taken. I've done about 15 track days in both the UK and France (hoping to go to Bugatti Le Mans in August) so I am aware that that the S2000's talents are better suited to the track.

. With respect I see your time as being pretty meaningless and only good for hinting at the potential of your car. That said, 1/4er mile racing is fun so I can see the appeal in that regard

My best is 13.75s @ 104mph and I doubt I could improve on that with my current set up.
I see ALL 1/4 mile times as meaningless Where the bored shitlessinastraightline smilie

Do the JMCLCC still run this event at the La Pulente end of the 5 Mile road?

Spoken like a true bean!

Yes, 3 a year by the JMCLCC in spring, summer and autumn. There is another on Victoria Avenue for the historic guys.
Not quite a bean - Well not in my opinion anyway! - but I did grow up over there - After 20 years on the rock I managed to escape back to the UK - Phew!

Think I only went to one speed sprint - One of the first ones after it was re-introduced (If I remember right it had been stopped following a fatality)

I was more into the Hill Climbs and Sand racing

No stone walls at this event.
Morning Max.

I think he means the old quarry.

Something I would like to do, must get off my ar*se and get round to it sometime.

Do you take the S bend flat out or do you need to lift?

The S bend is easily flat. Only the really powerful cars and bikes have to feather/lift the throttle through the S.

I'm guessing Max is running 4.77 gears (not from the video, not watched it, but from his reference to having to swop to 4th before end of 1/4 mile).

Maybe its the camera work but the run looks to be down hill? Was it much of an angle?
