Default 10 Today!

My car is 10 today! Happy birthday!

My first day - goodbye to the CTR and hello to the S2000. I had to drive home via some wonderful Welsh roads: A487 to Aberaeron, A482 to Lampeter, A40 to Llandovery, then Stennybridge, A4215 over the Brecon Beacons and then A470 to Merthyr Tydfil, and then down to the M4 and home, roof down all the way of course!

It only too 2 months for someone to drive into it whilst it was (the first of 4 occasions)

In then figured out a way to transport my drum kit:

Next on the list was a stereo upgrade (the first of a few) and now I have a great setup (details here): https://www.s2ki.com/...st__p__16429072

Then it was off to a Motorsport Events Academy Day: https://www.s2ki.com/...ost__p__4640797 where I learned a lot, and was "Driver of the Day", which meant I won a trackday voucher. This led me to a trackday at Hullavington where I learned much from my instructor and MarkB, and met Ralston and his TVR.

The next development was the first ever "Ricky Run", organised by fazer1k on the 28th March 2005. I led my first Ricky Run (with the infamous Chequers diversion) on 13th November 2005. Suzybee was there for the first time as well

Next up was my first "proper" trackday at Bedford in December 2005:

Ricky Runs became regular from March 2007, and it's been an absolute pleasure leading these:

More track days have followed, including the very sad PJL memorial day and the rather happier times at Spa

Here's to (hopefully) the next 10

And, I've only got seven months to go for the magic 10.

Thanks all.

Other stuff includes a trip to the South of France, lots of track days at airfields, Anglesey, Goodwood and Cadwell. Oulton coming up soon too.

Loads of laughs at Car Limits days, fun days out courtesy of Honda at Rockingham and at the Goodwood FoS. Dad's Days Out have been great, and I got to drive a Ferrari 360 round Donington and an Aerial Atom round Rockingham (thanks to Harsh for that privilege )

Only one thing has actually broken, and that was an electrical connector which cost 2 Euros to get fixed.

Much has been replaced, including the roof, the paint, timing chain, rear calipers, windscreen, sump, coilovers and wheels (for my lovely JDM BBS). Here's a pic of those along with a dab of oppo:

Green Flag cover now arranged as the Honda Warranty has run out.

Nearly forgot! Druids Runs - thanks to all those fools who join me at getting up before sunrise at Midsummer to go for a drive.
