Default 2 Weeks of ownership.

Well, this been 2 weeks since I collected the S and I'm still loving every minute of it. 1000 miles or so down, and a whole summer of fun to come.

Only managed to drive her twice with the roof up so far, and the other half totally loves driving her hard too.

She doesn't feel as fast as the MR2 I've come from, but I think that's due to the comotion that the MR2 produces when you stand on the loud pedal. But the numbers seem to shoot up just as quick.

I'm a bit shocked at the limited praticality that the S offers, but I'll make do. JAE is going to be a bit hard to pack all my stuff. A boot that size would just about hold the drinks

Drove the S down to Millway today, a mate drove the 2 to get her patched up to sell. Little piccy off my camera phone.

The only real grumbles I have are the pony stereo (which will be replaced this week hopefully) and the buzzy clutch (which will be swapped for aftermarket once I do a bit of research).

I don't have any problems using the car to do the weekly shopping for a family of 4 and everything goes in the boot.

Re boot size, have you done the "boot expansion mod" ?

ie remove the jack, tools etc from the foam insert in the boot floor, wrapped them in a towel to stop rattling, and stuffed them inside the spacesaver - then throw the insert in the attic/spare room/garage.

Gives a useful amount of extra space.

What, even the kids?

Glad your enjoying it Bibbs. Know what you mean abut the practicallity, I pulled a muscle so many times reaching for CD's in the centre compartment.

I think I'll make it to JAE in my Saxo VTR I get on Wednesday.
Looking forward to getting another car to get me around but its the Chav label the VTR comes with.

Pah, theres plenty of room (expecially if you've come from an Elise or MX5 !)
Me and the other have been camping for a whole week and taken everything we need including tent, clothes, booze, food, camping chairs, matresses ...the works.

FYI Re carrying booze.

Wine box :

The glove box under the 'wind deflector' (i.e. the secondary top box) fits a 3lr Wine box perfectly if you take the silver bag out and discard the box !!!

Case of stella :

Put a seat forward. Get a blanket or pillow case and dangle it behind the seat. stack the cans inside 6x4x1. Put the seat back.

Spirits, wine bottles :

Wrap in clothes and place under passenger seat - theres room for 4.
