Default 2006 S2000

The Temple of VTEC have posted the following info HERE

We obtain information regarding future products from a variety of sources throughout the year. Generally we sift through everything as it comes in and report on the stuff that holds some credibility. And then there's other stuff we make up. Once again, we thought we'd provide a snapshot of some recent developments and where the rumors and projections stand at the moment.

'06 S2000 - The S2000 lives on for another year, and for 2006 there are some very light revisions including restyled wheels, an outside temperature gauge, standard headrest speakers, and we heard from one source that daytime running lights will become standard as well.
Edit: oops... wrong forum. Could a mod please move. Ta.

Further proof that the S2000 is getting more bloated as it goes on in life.

What's next ?? Neck scarf ? Pipe, Slippers ??

Damn, my car is so incomplete without an outside temperature gauge!

They could de-content the VTEC to pay for it!

US S2K sales are tailing off this year. I think they might need a bigger fix.

Restyled wheels and a thermometer? I wish they'd just get on with it and release an R version, it's crying out for it - they did it for the NSX so why not the S? I'd have a deposit down in the blink of an eye.

"I see where you're coming from, but.... seriously dude, who is gonna buy an S2000 because it has an outside temp gauge? Hell, the '00 and '01 models had no clock and dealers were marking them up by $10k.

Adding useless fluffery to the car ain't gonna make it sell faster, any more than stripping the sound insulation out of an Accord DX would make it more appealing to potential buyers because it might be .0001 sec faster in the 0-60 sprint.

Hell, that's one of the reasons I bought my S2000- it's not blingy. Middle aged fat women don't buy them as status symbols, rap stars don't buy them and deck them out with chrome spinners and 45 woofers, you never see an S2000 with the "gold package." Whenever I see a fellow S2000 driver I'm 99.999999% positive that I'm looking at a guy (or gal) that loves to drive and really loves that car for the sports car that it is.

Actually, I can't see how Honda could luxo up the S2000. It's too raw, too noisy, too cramped for luxury buyers."
