Default 25 Miles of Vtec

Change the oil last weekend to Motul 5-40 oil. did 280 miles without any oil burnt. This Sunday i must of done 25 manybe a little more miles of heavy right foot driving. Got back just cheacked the oil again and it had drop 3 xxx on the dip stick.

Hmmm there's no fresh oil on the floor and my shiny exhuast tips has a very slight dusting of soot with no black/blue out of the rear i noticed.

Any idea?

Sounds normal to me.

1000 miles can see 1L of oil used so 300 spirited miles and 300ml sounds fine.

Agreed.

Was the oil at the same temp when you checked it both times, and the car dead level?

Probably a fresh oil affect. Oil consumption can be high whilst the light ends 'boil off', this maye explain why after 25miles of ragging its used a big (oil temp will of got much higher)

Many pre 04 S2000's have terrible oil consumption, it's fairly well known fact. My 03 used 1 litre of oil every 1500 miles. My 06 doesn't use any between 9k oil changes!
