Default 303 Protectant Problems!

Last night I went home and applied 303 again to try and do a better job, used a small (clean) kitchen sponge to apply it from a small saucer, dabbed the sponge in the 303 then wiped it on the roof, did the whole roof then left it for an hour, then went outside with a damp cloth and went over the whole roof again.

This morning it has been raining but no signs of runs, 'great!' I thought but I've just checked now it's dry and I'm greeted with... (and yes the roof is dry)

Should I apply it so the whole roof is a creamy white once I'm done?

I spray my 303 directly onto the roof then spread it with a sponge. The whole roof will have a wet look at this point. I then leave it for a while, go make cup of tea/coffee. Come back and wipe off the excess with a dry microfiber cloth.

You can see where I started applying with the sponge as those are the marks I left, maybe I didn't apply it liberally enough.

Will try again tonight!!

I used 303 with no issues. Have it in a spray bottle - spray onto damp dish cloth type rag, rub into roof as if scrubbing a stain - leave for a few minutes then rub over with the dry micro fibre - perfect finish. I didn't apply enough to have a lot of excess though.

I've used 303 on on ALL my S's for 6 years.
First couple of time looked like yours

Since then this has worked for me:
You MUST clean the roof well with something like a soft nail brush and shampoo.
Rinse it well.
Pat it dry with a microfibre cloth.
Pour some in to a container and use a sponge to rub it on ensuring it goes in to the "pores" do it in 6" square patches.
Whip the excess of with a cloth
Continue until done

Voila

Use renovo vinyl cleaner and then 303 and it covers fine, your missing this step and yours is going patchy - no suprise really.

Well I did the whole roof, but after the rain, that's how it looked!
