Just followed a rust coloured Z.

He tried to out me. No chance. The S clawed it back with ease - to the point I had to let off on a straight in 4th at 7.5k.

Maybe RIch could comment or somebody else who has dragged these two vehicles back to back - but today that motor got a wupping.

He was either running it in or not trying.

Doesn't the S have a slightly higher power to weight ratio than the lardy Datsun?

Wouldn't make much difference on the road though.

I think to be honest the cars are very closely matched. At that point it comes down to driver skill.

He could either have not been trying, or running it in.

I think it would be neck and neck to 100, but the 350 is shockingly fast above that speed, the size of that motor and the torque really does shift it quickly at those kind of speeds.
My 350z engine was so tight when i first got it, its nearly at 3000 miles now and is getting noticably quicker all the time.
It will be even more noticably quicker in 3 weeks time when my supercharger is fitted!
S2000's beware !!!!!!!!!

We need to drag these together. The one yest was trying, trust me - he couldn`t leave me and I had to hold off otherwise I would have driven into his arse end.

Not my style.

These were upto 90 speeds. So coupled with the fact he may have had a new car and we were outside the Zs stomping ground, it sort of tallies up.

But, create a car with a fast band OVER 90, thats sensible isn`t it!
