Default 74 in a 70

A322 to Bracknell this morning, overtaking a van at a leisurely speed, popped my nose out in front and there was the camera van on the inside.

Looked down and braked - before braking about 74 on the speed, after braking 67/68 - do u reckon he'll do me ??

Unlikely:

1. At that speed, your speedo is already over-reading by at least a couple of mph;

2. The ACPO guidelines say that a summons shouldn't be issued unless you're exceeding the prevailing speed limit by 10% plus (I think) 3 mph.

You should be okay as am I not right in saying that manufacturers' speedos are allowed to be accurate to +/- 7%? At 70, that gives you 4.9 mph to play with so you should be fine up to 75 mph ...

Anyone know how accurate the S's speedo is ?

Jo

your insurance company just placed an order with me for some
of that "high end, market leader, worldwide, networking gear"

purely to have the power to compute your next year renewal.....
