I wrote to Honda UK about my corroded wheels (some might remember) and was offered a replacement set of alloys for cost price - I replied and said I would only find myself in the same position before long and asked for a contribution towards reconditioning. Less than a week later a cheque for

This issue keeps cropping up and I keep forgetting to ask people to have a peek at my wheels at meets etc so has anyone got any photos that explicitly show corrosion?

And nice one on the 200

I got told where to go from Honda even after i showed them this site and proof of other's who had got their wheels done. And i'm still chasing them over a warranty claim that they wont honour.

Honda were really stingy with the ammount/quality of paint and laquers used on their alloys.

Apparently the type R wheels are even worse than ours! I didnt think that could be possible, maybe they are made of cast iron ?

It's not Honda, it's Enkei who make the wheels on the s2k. They also make wheels for Toyota, Subaru, Mitsi and many more. And without exception all the wheels on these cars are crap.

My dad's had two sets of wheels on an 18 month Celica, whenever he gets a problem with one wheel, they change all four.
