Hi there,
Trawling through various threads my heads in a shed about what to spend my money on (sooo many pros, cons, ifs and buts. I know for a start wringing more power out of the S is expensive and a gains are not that big. Basically im asking if you had

I would be speaking to Louie and asking him how much for the J's racing carbon air intake. Should give slight mid range increase and avoid bogging down in traffic.

Then onto a Spoon N1 exhaust, loud though, but saves a lot of weight and is less restrictive.

Would agree on the J's intake, then a good manifold (j's) but that will send you over your budget!

Gains I got were from decat, chip and intake which you could do for your budget....

Could get a used S/C for that money

Spoon style intake/snorkle and a decent exhaust, then track/driver training.

Yep, final drive is a good mod too!

Could get a big brake kit at that money, but need bigger wheels. That said I like the stock brakes.

Hi guys cheers for the info so far.

I already have a de cat, snorkle and spoon filter.

Regarding the final drive, how much am i liley to lose of the top speed?

Im not entirely sure, how much it would cost for 4.77 gears and if i use my exisiting dif? How much would it set me back?

the max speed with a 4.56 FD would be about 155mph. i think our car is set to hit 170+mph at the moment but we dont have enough power.
there is alot of info on FD. check out the search function. all in it should be just under

thank saxo_boy that cleared up alot of things, i think im going to go with FD gearing.

BTW is it just me or the S wont do more than 150?, so would the gearing knock off say 10mph?

Ill have to do a search
