Default ABS light

Before i starting do my bushes, my ABS light came on and i have no idea why.

I was under the car today and whilst looking under the cars at the rotors/wires etc all seemed fine.

I took it to a garage to get the code read via a 'Snapon' reader, though it didnt have the function to read ABS for < 2002, => 2002 had this option but it didnt work.

Is there a paperclip method?, i know there is for ECU fault code reading via this paperclip method, but i never got this to work in my UK car. I think the ABS/ECU reading via paperclip is for JDM cars only.

Please help until i have to folk out

Only the JDMs have the more advanced ECU with paper clip support.

You'll have to go to Honda like a chump.

Damn, this is what i expected have to get bummed by honda.

Seriously back when i bought the car, i know i have said this several times but i'd of prefered to have a JDM not just for this reason but for a few others too.

Hi mate, kinda yes i was sitting in the car about 2 weeks ago waiting for my GF in the chippy.

I was bored and was watching the rev counter (i blipped accelerator once or twice) had noticed it come on, i dont know if it was to do with this but it wasnt on the day before.

Air in the system?, did honda's diagnostic system find this out? - actuator??

Surely the ABS fault might have generated an error in the ECU log?
It does on other cars.
