Accident - gutted
On the way home from work, on a dual carriageway, fiesta pulls out and goes into the side of my pride and joy. I brake spin and end up in central reservation (no barrier thank goodness)
No one hurt. Now I have to deal with the damage, don't realy want to go through insurance as I am 25 and I just think it will be too much hassle. I do have 5 years protected no claims - is it really protected? If I claim, will my premium go up?
There is damage to front bumper, front near side wing, light and wheel. I reckon all these parts will need to be replaced.
I will post pictures when I can take some when light. How much roughly is this going to cost me? Anyone with a similar experience?
It is a 54 reg so still in warranty, should i keep it with the Honda dealer (Avonvale Stratford) or just get it done with a third party?
Urgh, what a crap start to the year. Any help you guys can give me will be so appreciated. I will get a quote from the dealer tomorrow, but would love to get an indication sooner than later. Is it going to be nearer

Well, I am not sure I want to get into all that. She hasn't admitted liability but I am worried it is not that clear cut.
She works in the building next to me, so I think I will test the waters tomorrow. The way I am thinking at the moment is to avoid the insurance co.
Even if it isn't my fault. I will still have an accident on my record

if it is as you described
that she has entered a dual carriageway, on which you already travelling
and struck you in the side
then it will almost certainly be 'her fault,' regardless of admissions of liability
why wouldn't it be 'clear cut?'

no fault accidents dont affect your record one bit.if you were on a dual carriageway you had right of way.
there's no way you should not go through the insurance.
however reading between the lines.......
if you're trying to do this girl a favour by not going through insurance DONT. it will cause more problems than it's worth.
the bottom line is you want your car back the way it should be. it's a delicate machine and judging by your description of the accident could well have chassis damage which could run into thousands to sort.
if there's a problem with your insurance, hmmm, not sure what to suggest. either way it's vital the car goes to a reputable garage with experience in s2000's not some cheapo bucket shop that will do the paintwork and leave you with a flawed car that's impossible to sell on.
not necessarily. a non fault claim where your insurance co makes a full recovery wont have any effect at all.
in this case there should be no dispute, although if it's not clear cut then maybe more info is required to make a proper judgement

Regardless fo whos at fault and protected no claims, your premium will, no doubt, go up.
I got rear-ended a few years ago. I make a point whenever I get an online quote of running it twice, declaring the no-fault accident and without it. Usually, it makes no difference.
The key is whether a full recovery is made or not. If it is, actuarially it seems to make no difference to the premium.
Different insurance companies have different views on this non fault business, some bump up the premium and some dont.
I would seek advice first, call your insurance and see if you have a case, remember your insurance company will do everything to get out of paying so they will push it to be the other parties fault. If they say its not your fault (difficult to get this answer out of them) go for it because regardsless of who pays it becomes a non-fault claim which as said before doesnt have an impact on the premium with some companies.
Your are looking at big bucks there, headlamp less power pack and bulbs is
