Autocar:
0 - 60 5.6
0 - 100 14.3
30 - 70 5.2
50 - 70 (top) 8.9
60 - 0 2.7
Its interesting to note that the S2000 is renowned for a lack of torque, yet its 50 - 70 figure is 1 second quicker than a Boxster 2.7, 0.2 seconds quicker that a TT225 and only 0.6 seconds slower than a BMW 330CI. I must admit that 8.9 is quicker than I expected - I wonder if it was 5th, not 6th.

14.2 seems a little slow?
I was convinced that it should be able to achieve a mid 13sec considering a 0-100 of 14 secs??
I think there must be at least 1 second available from the start. I managed a 14.4 at Santa Pod in my S3 (not modded) and I know the S2000 is faster. I realise the launch of the S3 is faster given 4WD, and low down torque, but the S2k is 200+ kilos lighter, and its 15bhp more powerful.
I need to learn a good launch control method, any ideas? Is it 6k, and drop clutch?
I will be going back to Santa Pod in the summer to see what I can do

Moff...... if you get the 6k clutch drop right the rears will light up and you're away....... if you get it wrong...... you'll end up smelling of rotten fish for a few days as the clutch cooks very easily!.
