Arrow ADVICE BUYING S2000

Hi All

I fell in love with the S2000 on my first test drive a couple of months ago.
Had 2 more recently
The car is an absolute god, easily beating the Audi TT and BMW Z3,
of which I did consider.

I have been very disheartened by the amount of dodgy cars on the market.
On one occasion I went to buy a S2000 but had to walk away due to no Service log book
(This seems to be common) though they advertise a FHSH.
The sellers only seem to be able to supply receipts

G-Man

There should be plenty of cars in your budget at this time of year. I've seen a few bad examples in my time too. It amazes me that people can spend

You mentioned the seller only had receipts and you want a stamped service book.

I would want a stamped service book and the matching receipts, a stamped service book on its own is the easy bit for any fraudulent seller

Having looked at the For Sale list, I'd probably be looking at GSi's Monte Carlo Blue MY01. It's got a few more miles on than you'd like, but it looks immaculate and there are plenty of people on here who know Rob, thus taking a lot of the danger out of buying privately.

What's 10k miles in the grand scheme of things anyway? There are loads of cars on here running fairly high mileage without any problems (I'm up to 70k now).

Thats true. I think my 01 is on 11k and if I remember correctly ABs 02 is now on 2.5k?
