Default Airbag light staying on.

As title really, the light now stays on all the time, I've checked the connectors on my aftermarket steering wheels and they all seem OK. Also checked the connection under the drivers seat and this seems OK (although I've just realised this would show a different light if faulty)

I've done a search but cant find anything about it being a common issue, and having an AEM EMS i cant plug in and get a fault code. Basically i'm a bit stumped,

Mine has come back on once or twice, but a reset usually fixes it. Its a convoluted process with a paper clip and sequence - I've got it written down somewhere, I'll see if I can find it,

Theres a few yellow plugs just next to the steering column; pop the narrow/slim one out and bridge the connector with a wire or paper clip.

Turn the ignition on

the airbag light with show, then go out out.

As soon as it goes out, pull the paper clip out, then as soon as the airbag light comes back on, pop the clip back in.

it should then flash then go out and stay out.

Remove your clip and plug the connector back in.

Job done.

The timing can be a bit sensitive, and its not the easiest to look at the dash light and the plug at the same time, but give it a few goes.

If when start the car again tomorrow, the light comes back - you'll know there is another underlying issue..

Does this still work when running an AEM EMS? guessing being a safety item it may be independent. Ill give that a go

I found the official process, seems it needed to be done within 4 seconds.
