Default Alarm

Does anyones alarm on their S2K make a noise when activated?

Mine, flashes the indicator but I was wondering if I can activate a noise function.

Cheers,

Z.

Is this a Honda fitted alarm or aftermarket, or have you just got the immobiliser fitted which is how they leave the factory. Sounds like you have the latter. Or.... a prettyy U/S alarm!

The alarm and immobiliser are factory fitted.

Are you sure? Unless things have changed the alarms are fitted after they arrive in the U.K.

My S2K is a 2002 model, not sure if that makes a difference.

Is it an import, (Euro or JDM) or did you buy it from a UK Honda dealer? The UK cars have the alarm fitted after they arrive in the U.K., usually a Honda Cat 1 system. Most people who import from Europe make their own arrangement about an alarm either with the importer or after it arrives. I'm not sure what the situation is with JDM (Jap) imports.

The car is a UK supplied 2002 car with a CAT 1 alarm. It all works but a noise of some kind would be good!

AFAIK the only time the OEM alarm will chirp on arming is if one of the entry sensors shows the door/boot/bonnet is open. There could be an aftermarket fix though, I know modifry on the board has done some work on his alarm albeit the USA spec one not the UK Cat1.

Hi guys,
thought I'd chime in.
Aussie delivered s2k's w/ factory immobiliser and keyless entry don't make any noise. The indicators flash when unlocking and locking.

The only noise mine makes on arming is the sound of the central locking. I agree a beep or something would be useful. A couple of times I didn't remember seeing the lights flash and if you press the alarm button again it turns off the internal ultrasonics, so I ended up locking and unlocking again to be sure.
