Default Alarming Problem

We've had a lot of heavy rain down here in Kent over the last few days and it's a PITA in more ways than usual...it's setting my alarm off! Now in the car park at work, it's not too big a deal, but on my drive at midnight it's a problem (Oi, alarm, noooo - in Frank Doberman voice)

Does anyone know if the sensitivity of the alarm can be adjusted? Or do I just have to de-activate the ultrasonic sensors every time rain is forecast?

Hi NeilW,

I've never encountered this particular problem so it may be a fault with the alarm. COuld water be getting in somewhere and causing some sort of short circuit?

Did you get your S2000 through Ashford Honda? What do you think of them as a dealer?

tnt,

yes bought it from Ashford Honda. I thought they were ok. I have an inbuilt distrust of anyone that wants to sell me something, particularly when it costs as much as an S2000! The salesman I dealt with seemed pretty genuine, although one of the others I spoke to was full of it and nearly lost them the sale.

I've has a look in the workshop, and it looked the part, very modern and clean, but then it's a relatively new building so it should be. I haven't used them for any work yet and I don't know anyone that has, so I've that to look forward to.

Have you any experience of them, or any others in Kent for that matter?

Neil

My experience with Ashford Honda:

Stepped into showroom and warmly greeted and offered test drive. Told that my part ex valuation would take time (abt a week). One week later, called them up as no word from salesman. Another week later, called them again and was told that the salesman that I was dealing with had just left the company taking all my records with him.

So they needed to inspect my part ex again. I asked for availability and delivery time of a black w/ full red interior. Best quote was

Far be it from me to stick up for Uk dealers Isabelle but believe it or not Berlina Black really is a Pearlescent finish, hence the extra cost. Bit of a rip off though as only Ascari (New Formula) Red is classed as a solid, no surcharge colour in the UK
