Alignment
I want to get the car booked in for alignment now the summer wheels are on. I was planning on coilovers and bushes last year but bought the M instead, now its the S's turn for budget
Is it straightforward to check for seized adjusters etc? I've been searching on were to aim the plus and have some leads

I'm planning on checking to see if mine are free too. In addition to your question's I'd like to know if I loosen each bolt off one at a time just enough to know if they are seized or not whether the geo will stay as it is or if I'm likely to alter it?
Nottm_S2 - come to a NW meet (TBA) at Daytona-Dave's to check. I'm sure he won't mind and the more the merrier. Plus, Nottingham's not too far away.
It's the shank of the bolts that seize inside the steel inner tube of the bushes, not the nuts that seize to the bolts. I'll undo the nut from the end of each bolt and then turn the bolt within the bush (or not if it's seized!) to know that it's free/not seized.

Aha. In that case, it appears my outer bolt bits are seized, so a hefty outlay is on the cards for me at some point.

Ah now that makes sense, always thought, how bloody hard can it be to undo a nut
crack the breaker bar on her!

Before taking my S2000 to DMS i sprayed all the adjustor's with Plus gas. When it came to setting the car up a week later the only issue was a seized caster adjustor.
I have made a point of spraying grease on every bolt/nut on the front and rear suspension. If im lucky it might work its way into the thread, if not then it will at least stop any crap getting in.
Don't be tight on spraying the plus gas, its a very good penetrating oil so the more you spray it around the adjusters the more chance of some of it working its way through. Mine was an 06 with 54,000 miles on it and alot of corrosion on the lower arms.

You probably won't alter it, but in case mark the adjusters. When I first looked at mine I intended to just try to move the bolts to to see what was seized, but ended up removing the bolts and greasing them myself. Except I didn't know about the collars on the front caster, which is the one that causes the most problems. Fortunately it all turned out to be fine. Once greased, they should be okay forever, so that's the only sensible answer.
For the most of the adjusters you'll need to undo the bolt then see if the adjuster is stuck in the bush sleeve by turning it (probably with a breaker bar) - if you've gone that far you may as well take it out completely, emery cloth both bits, grease and replace. You can use the "rust shadow" left by the clean patch under the adjuster cams to put them back in the same place you took them from.
