Default Alignment/Geometry in Cornwall

Hey hoping someone from down the "sunny south west" may be able to give me a suggestion as to where i can get my aligment/geometry setup to manufacturers recommended?. I understand quite a few garages shall have the equipment, but i really want to take it somewhere trustworthy. Any info appreciated

Regards

Alex.

Try www.alignmycar.co.uk most there have the right equipment, although whether they have the expertise necessary to set the car up for you is a different matter.

If you just want the Honda standard settings, then they'll be able to retrieve those from their database. Just make sure they get the correct settings for your 2000 year car.

LG

Trouble is as we all know is the the standard settings are pants and the tollerances make the std set up completely irrelevant and bigger pants.

Alex.

They should be ok. but i good geo from a garage with some knowledge of the S will tranform the car and your experience with it.

Dont pay out and think your getting a sorted car. Putting it another way, as soon as i had my car geo'ed by Honda i booked it in with Chris at Gravity Center to get rid of there settings. Other retail outlets are available....

For example, on a said mini round about - a std car leaving honda factory will corner before loosing the front end at around 22mph after a visit to chris i was do between 26-30mph in the wet.

Good luck

Alex

Center Gravity is in the Midlands so doesn't really fit the OP's request, much as I admire their work.

Alex, there's nothing wrong with the manufacturers spec, just make sure when they do set it up, they get get close to the "Preferred" settings in the attached from the FAQ and that the settings are the same for left and right.

Yeah this is what i had imagined, finding someone with the expertise and time/patience to get it dialled to the exact settings is where my issue is going to be . i have a feeling it's way out atm, have just had some front lower arms fitted (as they were an advisory when i bought the car). Only now started to push the car a litte and it seems soooo tail happy even in perfect dry conditions . Thanks for the link regarding settings I'll have to ask around some garages down here and find out who's best i guess unless i can work in a trip to the midlands!

There is one chap from Newquay who had his done somewhere down that way IIRC. I'll have a think and see if I can remember.

EDIT try PMing FistralG

Failing that, the alignmycar is how someone found Wheel in Motion, a company a lot of us use, so I'm sure your local place will be good enough, just specify the level of accuracy you require (as close as possible to the settings above, it doesn't matter if they are very slightly out.)

Sorry I'm a bit late - I've not logged on for a few days.

I had my bolts greased and wheel alignment done at Seven Milestones garage at St Agnes.
They aren't S2000 specialists but I did a bit of research on here and got them to set the car up to a spec that worked well for others.
They did have to have 2 goes at it as the first time they set it up with the steering wheel off to the right!
The second time was good and the car hasn't been a problem since.

I do want to get it up to Chris at Center Gravity at some point but its a bloody long way. If we get enough interest down in the South West we may persuade Chris to do a special trip.
