Default Alignment with roof down?

Hey guys.

I have an alignment tomorrow morning. I've got a load of weight plates to put on the driver's seat. I'm just wondering if I should put the roof down as well, since I have the roof down if it's not wet, and if it is, then I don't drive fast.

Best motoring international tested the car with roof down vs up, and they found it to be faster with the roof down. That would have been with OEM settings though. That might also have been prefacelift I can't remember. Would Honda have taken the roof weight into account, and already tuned the settings to be ideal with roof down, whilst set with roof up? The better time might have been more to do with balance idk.

Would do you reckon? Cheers!

What event are you entering and will the fraction of a millisecond you save make the difference between glory and humiliation?

So it will make a difference you reckon? I just don't want the settings to be messed up the moment I drive off.

About as much difference had having a big dump before you sit in the car....

What volume of fuel will you have in the tank (in ml please)?

Don't forget that the movement of the oil as it drains back to the sump and the coolant condensing in the header tank will have an effect, so make sure you don't turn the engine off until the very last moment!

Have you got nitrogen in the tyres?

What weight are your valve caps?

You'll need to adjust for the drag on the aero style wiper blades if you have those fitted

The fuel will be a little over half tank. The oil should be OK, because it doesn't move back and forth much. I didn't think about the overflow tank. I'll have to weight it hot tonight, and make sure it's the same while they do the adjustment.

Thanks for the help.

Standard wiper blades. All that matters is the weight that changes position.

Have you allowed for the more rapid tread wear of the tyres on the driven wheels? Make sure you book in for weekly adjustments?

Mmmm...that's going to increase caster slightly. I can probably live with that, especially since I have no choice. Weekly adjustments would be crazy money.
