Default Allignment problems!

Just after Christmas last year (during the snowy icey weather conditions) someone kindly dented my drivers side wing and drove off without owning up to it.

Luckily there was a witness and I found the culprit parked on my road
They agreed to go through their insurance company and 1 month later I finally got the car back.

They done a good job apart from one major issue....they fiddled with my suspension and got it all wrong

It all started when I called up the insurance approved garage after a two week wait only to discover that they had changed one of the front suspension arms, even though the damage was merely cosmetic! I'm guessing during the tough economic climate they wanted to claim as much work as they can from the insurance....!

Well they had already put my geometry settings back to factory, after I spent a small fortune correcting it at TGM a few months ago. What I done was speak to the head guy in the allignment department, and agreed to send them my allignment specs printed from TGM after they sorted it. They promised to match it and print out there geometry settings.

After getting the car back it was obvious that the car wasn't set up properly, the rear end was back to being as erratic as ever so I knew the work wasn't done properly.

I've attached TGM's geometry settings and also the garages settings, am I right to say they got it all wrong?? Below is the settings from TGM and then the settings from the insurance company:

I cant see how you can correct it from factory.

Best to ask them to dial in the TGM settings if that is what you prefer.

The two sets of settings look close on the after adjustment reports.

Toe looks a little out, but nothing significant.

However, that assumes that they had the equipment fitted to your wheels properly.

The left rear camber at 2deg 48' is probably what's causing the problem, it's a fair bit higher than the right.

Other than that, it looks pretty good.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Punchdrunk the original geometry settings for the S2000 leave alot to be desired imo, Honda released a revised spec a few years on but I chose TGM's own recommended settings.

I was told that my settings were set back to factory (they obviously had no idea I had my allignement setup by TGM) which is what I meant.

I guess my question was how does the correctedcurrent settings (image right at the bottom of my first post) look in comparison to the original TGM settings?

Lower thanks for your feedback. Lovegroova, would this cause the erratic rear end symptoms?

they are different and the S is sensitive to minor changes to the geo. The insurance guys probably don't realise this and thought "that's prety dam close, it will do" it won't if you want the car to handle the same as it did with the TGM settings they will have to replicate them exactly.

Thanks FistralG, one things for sure the S definately is sensitive to geo changes!

I'll get back to the garage and ask them to mirror the TGM settings.

As Rich (Lower) says, it won't help, and if the rear is where the problem is arising, then that's the most likely cause.
