Default Alloy refurb

Looking at getting my wheels refurbished. Only problem is I only have the one set of alloys. I know there are few on here that have had it done.

Those of you with only one set (if any) what did you do when sending the alloys off for refurb?

Also are the alloys for the front and rear slightly different sizes? I have an 06.

The wheels are all 17", but the rears are wider than the fronts (and have different width tyres.

You'll have to put the car on axle stands for a few days, probably.

I have heard of people who turn up in a van and do it outside your house or workplace and supposedly do a good job .

I think I saw it on Wheeler Dealer's or some such program .

Thanks for the feedback guys and buaan for the Wicked Wheels vid.

Does anyone know if Wicked Wheels would be able to do something like this?

Or is this a job for someone like Pristine?

I doubt they can do diamond cutting in the back of that van tbh.

It looks like they can only do a quick flatten back to remove corrosion and primer/topcoat/laquer. Not bad but you wont get that diamond cut finish like the picture above.

There are lots of 16" wheels floating about on eBay Buy some, fit em, get the proper prestine finish, then sell them on

Rears wont fit front hubs as the middle hole is smaller, just in case you were thinking...

Get four axle stands and a jack, leave one under each sill jack point and dont lean on it

I had a quick check on eBay as well, only problem is most (if not all) I’ve seen are pick up only.

If anyone has alloys for sale I’d be interested (16”or 17”)?
I don’t mind picking them up, just depends on how far.

I’ve been thinking about that option as well. Though I keep thinking what if…..
Don’t fancy coming home to see the ‘S’ belly down on the drive way.

I have a set of 16" in the garage with reasonable tyres. I'm in East Yorkshire - if you can pick them up you can have them!
