Default Alloy wheel colour

Due to the strong pound and my wish to spend I am looking at ordering some volks te37 in the new year. Carriage is $300 which seems ok. I really like the look of the black which probably take 3 months to arrive but I can wait. Just after some opinions really on black with the mcb and any pictures anyone may have. I have seen a few painted standard wheels on the fs forum and they look . I do like the silver as well, another special order but the black are just a bit different.

What colour are Fletches as his car is mcb and looks very good.

Will be going for 18''s as they fill the arches well and I'm happy to have show instead of go. I never go that fast anyway.

Cheers

Marc

Marc.

Mine have been re-coated and are actually Suzuki Mecury Silver.
Rays do a mecury silver set that I think is very on MCBlue.
I though about (and discounted) black.

Good choice Not a fan of the Hyperblack myself, it tends to hide the spokes and looks odd - I think Mercury Silver or Gunmetal (or the new Titanium Gunmetal) would look a lot better on MCB.

I think Black are ok on MCB if you make the effort to make the car look the part in other ways. MCB & Black is pretty mean looking, so you need to consider lowering, subtle bumper kits etc. Have a look at the envy website pics of the buddy club add ons.

If i had kept my car i reckon it would have ended up looking like that

I think biker1 had some black powder-coated OEM alloys on his MCB - there's a thread somewhere in FS&W from the last few weeks in which he's trying to sell them - there's a pic of his car with them fitted in that thread, which give you an idea of how the colours mix.
