Default Is this already known? New S2000 model date.

The following is no BullS**t.

I called Honda UK about the Recall notice that I received a few days ago. They had mixed up my VIN numbers.

After I had dealt with this I asked Deborah in customer services about any news on a major S2000 change. I explained I always seem to by the next one just before a change occurs. She took my number and went to speak to the product people...

She called back 5 minutes later and said quite without drama that the next S2000 model will be released in January 2004 in the UK.

She then went on to say that the 2003 model will have 3 new 'exotic' colours but no cosmetic changes other than that.

The 2004 car would be new she said not just a cosmetic change.

I thanked her, put down the receiver and promptly fell off my chair.

Is this old news?

Sam.

I wonder if the "exotic" colours are those strange ones currently on the Honda Japan website? I can't see there being huge demand over here for the slime green one!

Imola Orange is very nice though and the Red is also stunning. I thought that there was 4 colours in Japan though, the slime green which I agree is nasty and a Champagne white which looks ok.

I actually like the new colours, However, I think I will be holding off buying another S2000 until I know what officially the new model will actually be.
Is it better to sell soon and stash money away or is it right to hang on and sell when the car has another 15,000 miles on it and is 2 years old? Hmmmm... Cannot decide.

Sam.

Perhaps the cut and paste coupe (due 2004 ) has been so well received they are going to make it after all.

No No No No NO !!! If you need four seats buy another car. I would not even consider buying a four seater.
