They are 260mm wide in 255.

Toyo R1R is 262mm

Your Falkens in 245 are 250mm

Ok so it needs to be the 255. Out of interest, how wide is the Bridgestone? I always thought they were wider than the Falken.

I have the Federals on my track CRX and they are great. However I definitely would not use them on the road as they need heat in them to get going, the S2000 may be able to generate that but the CRX certainly can't, at least on the road anyway.

Anyone know if the S will put heat through the tyre to warm them up? Have I bought a set of lemons?

Depends on compound.

The S is heaver and works all 4 wheels more than a CRX will though.

Who said the RSR isn't good in the cold or wet? I've been running them in the wet weather for the past few weeks and they've been fine? I've not pushed on in the wet with them on, admittedly, but then who does with normal tyres?

There's a post on this very thread that said they arnt good in the wet/cold, and not able to get heat in them (albeit on a crx) for just road driving, also repeated in other threads on other clubs,

I like to drive my car in any conditions, not pushing it, but I don't want them to be lively when I'm not ready for it just cruising about. They don't clear water particularly well.

the r1r's are said to be better when colder and clear water better. Can also get the correct sizes. Horses for courses, I dont think i would be happy running them through the winter that's all, if you are that's cool : )

Just after some more advice
