I'm pretty annoyed with them as well. I ordered a Samco intake hose from them using their eBay shop as they were a good £20 cheaper than any other retailer. There was a 4 week wait for the order but I couldn't spot any others in stock.

The vehicle compatibility chart stated that the item would work with my 2006 S2000, so I ordered it. Once it arrived I soon realised that it's actually for a pre-facelift. So I looked at the advert again, which clearly stated AP1, but within the description there was a bit that said pre-facelift only. So I sent in a polite email asking if I could return it as it's unused and they said no.

I then found the facelift version with the same seller, but it's advertised as for a JDM model or AP2. I pointed out the error in their ways saying that an AP2 is not a UK facelift but they flat out ignored my message. I've ordered it but I'm tempted to open a dispute about the first one. In fact, I'm going to do that right now.

J's racing bumper fits really well but it's over 1k. I wouldn't expect much if a brand new bumper was 600 quid!

Just thought that I would update this. I opened the case and heard nothing from Amber Performance till the very last day, where they refused to accept a return. So I asked eBay to review the case and they've approved it, so once I get home I'll be mailing the item back to Amber Performance.

If you're saying the fit was awful after they fettled with it, then they need to rectify it at their cost.

They're obviously being sheepish about refunding you because they can't send a product back to the manufacturer because it
has either been painted/adjusted in some way to try and make it fit. Go and see them, talk to them face to face about fixing it so that it fits properly. It is so easy to be ignored by email and phone.

Get them to cover the return postage service - it is your legal right - if the item is as you have described it!
Especially if its going to cost you a lot to return it. If Amber refuse then argue the toss with Ebay and they will reluctantly provide you with a return courier service / Parcelforce label and they will recoup the money from Amber.
I have done this on three occasions when an Ebay seller has sold me a fake or duff item. You have to ring Ebay and jump through hoops a bit but it has worked for me each time. Ebay emailed me a Royal Mail / collect+ or Parcelforce label which I used to return the item. For a large wool rug Ebay sent me the Parcelforce label. I had to package the rug up and felt like a plonker taking the rolled up rug to the local post office - but it saved me the £30-40 it was going to cost me.

Nice one - clearly they are not trying to dodge their responsibility as much these days. Finally getting the message that the buyer is not responsible for paying the return cost for duff items!
