Default Annoying Beeping

How can I stop that annoying beeping sound from my car when I open the door and leave the keys in or just leave the keys in the Ignition?

Has anyone got a quick fix to this irritating problem?

This beeping really bugs me when I'm claening the car and want to have the stereo on.

I think I've read that there's a way to stop the seatbelt warning beeper, involving cutting a wire under the seat. Is there an equivalent for this?

(Mind you, I'm such a useless numpty on practical things I don't think I'd dare cut a wire in case I got stranded, or caused an explosion or something!)

The seat belt bleep is a different one
There is a connector under the drivers seat just unclip it!
Did this and the HID washer fuse first first day I got mine.
Not yet found a solution to the ignition bleep, other than the ones above.
I guess with a wiring diagram it would not be too difficult to track it down.
I'd lay money it also has a connector that can be pulled!

Erm, you might find by doing that you've disabled the seat belt pre-tensioner
and airbag system......

Excellent idea - Change the switched live wire for the stereo to a permanent live wire, then you use the stereo's on-off button
