Default Another clutch noise post

Ever since I've had my car I've noticed that when pushing the clutch pedal down to change gear the first inch of travel results in a slight faint chattering noise which dissappears once the clutch pedal is more than half pushed down. I can get it to make the noise continously by driving along and gently pushing the pedal down about an inch so as not to make the clutch actually slip . I'm perplexed as to the cause, my first guess would be Clutch release bearing but as my car has a new clutch (it made the noise on the old one) clutch release bearing, release bearing sleave, Flywheel spigot bearing, gearbox oil and a new engine all less than 200 miles ago, I was surprised that the noise is still there unless it's just a charachteristic of these cars? Anyone confirm if there's makes the same noise ?

I guess it could be the clutch springs, just curious as with all the parts that have been changed on my car it was surprising to still have the same noise

Think I would rather that than the buzzing you get on the early clutches Spoken to your dealer about it? Do they have another car to test it against?

Yes the dealer told me that the noise was still there when they gave me the car back after fitting the new engine etc but to be fair I was just glad that the tapping that I could feel through the clutch pedal and hear from the engine had gone. The dealer said it must just be a charchteristic of the car afterall if they had anymore clues as to what it could be they would fix it as as they've replace just about everything already and it's still under warranty so they get paid for it by Honda Uk. I guess I need to drive another 04+ S to do a comparison

Done some testing today and found that if I gently accelerate or hold the throttle steady and push the clutch pedal down I can get the car to make the noise (sounds like someone rolling there R's) but if I let go of the throttle and push the clutch it doesn't make the noise. I've got a terrible feeling that Honda have replaced my engine for no need and the noise is gearbox related!
