Another few q's
the scoop on the roof is an airscoop intended to feed cold air to the airbox. its actually on the wrong side but i suspect there is one on the other side hopefully connected to the airbox and the visible one is for show only.
welcome to the list mr bibbings. i made the jump from an mr2 turbo last year and whilst the s2000 doesn't have the torque or cheap tuneablilty of an mr2 turbo, its definatly the faster car. at the imoc track day at donnington last year, i had no problems keeping up with and passing all but the seriously moddified turbos.

You're not going to put a shopping list on the side of your S are you?

The GB for the OEM spoilers finished, but if you speak to the dealer involved (details on the thread) they should do you a decent price.
The spoiler on the bonnet keeps the front end on the raod at speed .. MR2's have the habbit of going *VERY* light over 120mph.
Those pics were going round Nurburg, and I was topping out about 150 (and it was wet) so it was defo needed.
And the scoop (one on each side) was to aid cooling .. seemed to knock off about 5 degrees of the ambient engine temp (I have 4 thermo couples in the engine bay to check the charge temps). One is for the intake and the other the IC.
Yeah it a turbo .. about 260lb/ft last time I had it dyno'ed .. probably another 10/20 with the mods since. And after that Pic I slapped a set of 18" on the rear and a carbon bonnet.

Apart from an OEM kit and my set of BBS RX 17" rims, I'll not really be doing anything else to the S. I went a bit OTT on the 2, but then to stand out at car shows and the like you have to

Scary thing is I can tell it's a rev2, imported NA, with the late spec lights..
BUT - it could be a rev1 with the new front, he's either got BIG rims or small brakes ..
I've owned MR2's far too long now ..

I saw your car at Japfest i think and thought WTF is that thing on the bonnet for

I mentioned above, the MR2 gets a light front end at high speeds and in the wet it's a lot worse.
The spoiler pins the front to the raod and gives you less understeer. It's either that or getting a bonnet setup like the elise ..

How often do you do over 120?
