Default another one bites the dust!

wrote my s2k off a few weeks back, hadn't shouted about it on the forum yet just cos i didn't know whether it was being repaired or written off, but today i got a call from the bodyshop to say it was being written off.

pics later.

not really sure what to do yet, could buy another s2k which is tempting, will have to wait and see what's around when i have a cheque from the insurance company and the money burning a hole in my pocket.

i don;t have the space to break it, if anyone else wants it i am happy to buy it back and they can have it for whatever the insurance company sell it to me for.

only damage is to the rear corner, passenger side of the car, everything else is fine.

A breaker should snap your hand off as the parts will be worth at least a third towards a newer model.

Honestly mate YOU should buy it back and list it on fleabay as a whole car if yoou dont have the capacity to break it.

thing is, there is no guarantee that it will sell, and tbh i just need the cash to buy a new car. might speak to some of the traders on here who break cars and see if they are interested.

it was the saturday night on bank holiday, about 11pm. it was pissing with rain.

i was coming over a hump back canal bridge, it was dual carriageway.

i was in the left hand lane, there was a car to my right.

i needed to be in the right hand lane so i could go round a roundabout that we were approaching.

as we came up over the hump i went to accelerate so i could get infront of the car to my right and then filter into the right hand lane.

as i went to accelerate i felt the car start to snake and the rear start to slide. i went to catch the slide and it just snapped back and put me into a spin and the rear wheel went sideways into a kerb and the rear corner of the bumper smashed into the armco barrier.

slightly annoyed with myself that i was over generous with the throttle in the wet, but sh1t happens and i'm insured, nobody else was involved, and i didn't get injured.
