Default Another touch up paint thread

Bought a New Imola Orange Pearl touch up paint from my local dealer.
Thank goodness it was to cover a scratch on the inside of the bootlid because it was a completely different colour of orange !!
Anybody else had this problem with Honda paints?
Any other suggestions where I can get a touch up paint that actually matches the rest of the car?

Pearl is VERY difficult to paint match, as it is not just the colour, but the way the coats are put on.

I could accept the paint perhaps looking a bit 'flat' or not having the same depth as the original paint, but this is a completely different shade of orange - much darker than the original.

You need to shake it for at least ten minutes. Do not expect and touch up paint to be an exact match though. NIOP is the most difficult to match out of all the honda paints.

Are you sure it is the right paint code?

There are quite a few Honda Oranges so check the code against the one on your drivers door inner flap.

It totally depends on how much the paint on your car as faded, it matches the paint when its new!

Also depends on how good you are with the touch up pen.

When the light hits it its never going to look pefect.
