Default AP2 Wheel Centre Caps

Hi,

Due to the outrageous cost of new Centre Caps from Honda I am going to have a go at refurbing mine.

I remember reading on here about 6 Months ago about someone who removed the wafer thin covers and wrapped the bare cap faces in Carbon Film, however after a number of searches I have failed to find the post.

So if it was you can you help, or if anyone can help on a search it would be apprecieated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Don't think you will find anyone on the UK forum that has refurbed AP2 centre caps.

Look on the US or JDM forum for refurbing AP2 centre caps.

All UK cars are AP1.

Thanks Unclerfester,

I have just removed the wafer thin covers on two of the caps. (Came off dead easy). Looking at the surface of the plastic caps I might just rub them down and spray them, then put a new (Ebay sourced) logo on each one. What do you think?

Lower, I thought that AP1 applied to cars manufactured from 1999 to 2004. With AP2 applying to the cars manufactured thereafter. Anyway I stand corrected.

Thanks

Has anyone tried these?

Honda Wheel Centre Badges

They look good, and are reasonably priced, but I wondered what they looked like on the car!

On eBay, Stickerdude UK sells them for £5.99 + £1.00 p&p, if you can't see them in his eBay shop email him and he will make them up for you and they are very good! Did mine a couple of months back.

Glad I saw this, better than paying 30 quid per cap! I reckon these won't look half bad either.

I've done this. It looks fine, but my wheels (the earliest type of 17") aren't finished in the stock diamond cut fashion. I'd like to return them to being diamond cut, but clearly there is no paint that will make the centre caps match. I was wondering if there was a vinyl type covering that is available in a 'machined aluminium' shiny silver colour?
