Default Ashtray no longer springing back?

As topic title really!

Yesterday the ashtray cover stopped springing back when I press it.

Is it quite simple to remove the centre console bit and relocate the spring? Has this happened to anybody else?

Thanks!

Rislar, not the radio door, the ashtray.

Or, did you use the radio door spring to fix the ashtray?

Mine's done this a couple of times. just taking of the centre console may work - it just snaps off.

Mine was fouling on the extra loom I put in to move the headlight washer switch.

A bit of squirty plastic dressing made it move freer & it had enough momentum to overcome the problem.
