Default ASM LCD Dash Display

I've acquired a copy of the Japanese market REVS magazine dedicated to the S and in it is what appears to be an LCD monitor screen to replace the exisitng display. It shows variable displays rather than the fixed information available form the OEM unit.

Looks pretty cool but I can find nothing on the internet about it - any one have any ideas?

I'm pretty sure it is ASM, but as I can't read Kanji I'm struggling somewhat...

Steve, it's definitely not a Stack unit as I'm familiar with their stuff.

It's most certainly a Japanese product as the graphic style is very errr... Japanese. It's a full colour display too.

I keep looking for a nice stack dash for the AEM.

I could do the carputer/tv screen, but that's a bit 'geek' for me ..

Wanted an HKS Camp in the old car .. just for the aquarium screen saver (good economy driving ment the fish grow bigger, hard driving ment the fish die)

Mark it was actually developed by Mugen, it's called something like multivision meter - it has been used in a lot of their race cars. They have never sold it to the public and probably never will. AFAIK the only people who have ever sold it is ASM.

If you search for a user called medicalstudent, he has one. I think Mugen were quite upset when he managed to acquire it.

It uses a Kenwood LCD display but the gubbins attach to the ECU among other places - it is difficult to get it to work properly. I don't think medicalstudent has got his to work 100% (no speedo etc.)

Chris.

Hi Chris

That is indeed the item.

I've just dug out the magazine it was shown in (the accurate title of which is Hyper Rev, Vol. 1112, S2000 No.4 and not 'Revs' as I earlier said...) so you've saved me scanning it.

Nice bit of kit - albeit with slightly cheesy graphics used.

Shame one can't actually buy it!

Mark
