well Minardi has passed the pre race scrutineering and they do have a car with all of the 2005 aero but don't want to race it. I think Minardi are in the spirit of the new rules with the 2004 car as it probably still has way less downforce then the other's 2005 cars. As far as the engine goes they can replace the engine next race and go to the back of the grid and lose 0 places.

Complete news blackout at home on GP w/e's for me until I've watched the quali / race!!

Remember sitting with my fingers in my ears for ages & humming very loudly at Rockingham one Sunday last year 'cos we'd gone there and recorded (Sky+ ) the race 'cos the geezer in front was talking to some other geezer on his moby about the race (live). Grrrr.

Which reminds me...Rockingham starts 1st May...whoohoo....superb, raw racing.
Anyone here go? Didn't see any S's in the c/p last year... :-(

Aye ! Well said !

I've got a fair bit of travelling to do over the weekend, so I'll be watching the highlights on Sunday

Gutted for Minardi, I really like Stoddards bullishness, standing up to the big money boys! Not saying they should be allowed to race, just a real shame not to see them there

Anyway......................COME ON JENSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy way to avoid hearing re results is to watch it live

Might look at going to Rockingham this year, what's the site with details ??

Confused.

BBC radio on way to work this morning said Minardi were out.

BBC sport website says they're now in.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/4317201.stm

Paul Stoddart (right) in discussion with F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone
Minardi will start Saturday's first qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix after securing a temporary injunction against a stewards' ruling.
The stewards had earlier dismissed Minardi's bid to compete with last year's cars that do not conform to new aerodynamics regulations.

"We are in," said Minardi team boss Paul Stoddart.
