Default Avon ZZ3s?

I have tried these on previous cars. Very impressed with them on track as they have a stiff sidewall and feel very sharp. Also very grippy in the dry and from what I can remember decent in the wet.

Thinking of trying them out next. Not really happy with the T1Rs soft sidewall when the car is driven in anger.

Thanks

I think "zero to 60" who used to post a long time ago had Avons, but I can't remember which model.

If search was any good you could look up his posts about them

(So not much help really)

I had some on my car at first. They are not a patch on the S02s (I have stock 16s) in terms of handling sharpness, grip, feel or driving pleasure. They do let go more progressively than the S02s so were good for a noob but I wouldn't go back to them.

Im currently on a set ZZ3s on my 18s no problems with them at all, almost had them on for a year now. If anything I think I prefer them to the S02s especially from cold!

Ah - someone else who mentally files these useless pieces of information, Jonathan. I thought it was just me!

zero ran ZZ3s. Using the rather more helpful advanced search, I found a report from him after 1,000 miles:

Search on s2ki is a but variable but it does help to use the (for some mad reason, unpublicised) advanced search engine:

And here's his "initial report" thread on them:

Looked at those, look good. Seems that nothing beats the S-02 for feel, sharpness and performance on a dry track though

Although I am running a lower profile tyre on 17inch wheel so maybe this helps
