Default Back to blacking the soft top?

Hi guys,

I got my 05 S on Tuesday and love it, its got so much more soul than the 3.0i Z4 I had and much more fun above 6k rpm

The car is mint except for some kind of brown staining on the soft top, I have bought some cleaner and given it a good scrub but it doesn't seem to be shifting it.

It's only noticable when its dry and invisible when wet, it almost looks like some sort of sand staining. it's definatly not faded as its also present ubder the lip around the glass window.

My thoughts are to use some form of dying tactic to make it black again.

Can anyone reccomend something to dye it or something else that may shift the stain without ruining it?

Thanks,

Mike

Me to, soak a piece of old sponge and rub in.
Looks a bit white when you put too much on but it dries to give a nice sheen, and darkens the plastic roof (it is vinyl by the way).
Dry excess by rubbing with a microfibre towel.
I clean with normal car wash like Meguires NXT and use a soft toothbrush to work on the small bird crap stains etc.

Steve.

i've used autogylm vinyl care and 303, the autogylm seemed to leave it a bit greasy, the 303 dryed a nice matt black

Just done my roof today with 303, back to black

Use sparingly with a small sponge.
