Back from the Dark Side!!!!
You guys won't believe this but I am back. Yes I am buying another S!!!!
I am soooo fickle minded. I drove the Boxster for 2 days and loved the car but I didn't get the fun factor and kept on thinking about the S. I loved the s2k and nothing else comes even close to it for me in terms of grin factor alone. Good though the boxster is, it is too civilised for an uncouth person like me. I want to be a hooligan.
So all in all my moonrock is on order first thing Monday morning. One other reason was the deciding factor and that was the Porsche dealers, what a bunch of ass*****! If I feel this way when trying to buy a car then imagine what it will be like after I have made the purchase.
I tried very hard to get a good deal and in the end secured free metallic paint and half price PSM (traction control), free mats and tank of petrol too and the deal was going to be done but I just didn't like the attitude of the dealers. I was told by everyone I would not get the deal I was looking for but I bargain hard and rough.
Anyway will be happy to come back to the fantastic car. I also went out today and bought a nearly new 5 Series to replace my other car and got a fantastic deal on that too. Two cars in one weekend, must be some kind of record!?!

The Boxster was the first sportscar I ever drove when I started on the wandering test drive route that eventually led me to the S2000 18 mths ago.I drove it and thought - mmm... well its ok, but isn't it supposed to be tremendous fun
I tried the S (helped by the dealer principal thrashing the nuts off it and encouraging me to keep the foot down in 2nd until the rev limiter cut in
) and it blew me away - lot more fun than I remember my brief drive of the Porker.Nice one Rahul - see you on those scottish routes soon

Theres just something about this car isnt there, I remember when I first drove one I wasnt really impressed, id come from a Fiat 20v turbo and thought the s seemed slow, I really was not 100% about the car but Id only drove it for 10 mins, it was really my wife who persuaded me so I purchased really on looks alone. Best thing I ever did. I am on my second now and depending on when a sprog comes along will have to leave the S and I am absolutley dreading that day.
